Bridging generational divides and strengthening media literacy are goals of the PBS NewsHour Student Reporting Labs (SRL) and “We the Young People”is a multi-platform initiative which leverages our core strengths of working with young people in media making, storytelling and video journalism. The initiative includes a digital series of intergenerational dialogue about misinformation in a series called “Moments of Truth,” Q&As with teen fact-checkers, student-hosted explainer videos, and a 30-minute digital special distributed and promoted through the PBS NewsHour digital platforms.
