This program places existing WHYY youth media students in paid work experiences where they can put their skills to work and make important connections in the industry. The summer program begins with a job-skill orientation, followed by 6 weeks of real-world work. Students publish on business partners platforms, build their portfolios, boost their resumes, and grow their networks. They are paid on a per project basis and are able to keep their summer equipment kit at the end of the summer. Interested students can continue to freelance throughout the school year.
