Media Lab
New England Public Media

Media Lab

  • Currently active
  • Created by our station
New England Public Media (NEPM), was created in July 2019 by the merging of WGBY Public Television and New England Public Radio. In 2010, WGBY launched the Latino Youth Media Institute, with the intent to provide career readiness for the next generation of bilingual journalist, storytellers and media makers that responded to the local workforce gap. In 2016, NEPR with input from WGBY adapted the model and launched Media Lab focusing on radio production. Now as a dual licensee, Media Lab broadens the career awareness for youth, teaches the basics of storytelling with a purpose, and provides paid internships.
