Above the Noise, an Emmy award-winning YouTube series for teens, cuts through the hype and dives deep into the research behind the issues affecting their daily lives. The series investigates controversial subject matter to help young viewers draw their own informed conclusions, while inspiring media literacy and civic engagement. Episode topics are sourced and/or vetted through KQED’s Youth Advisory Board and cover a range of topics including mental health and how teens can support each other, dealing with imposter syndrome, how to handle family stress, intergenerational trauma and many others.
