Films BYkids

  • Currently active
  • Created by another station or organization (and we implement it)
Films BYkids pairs accomplished filmmakers with teenagers from around the world to create short personal documentaries that encourage understanding about universal issues and help foster empathy and global citizenry. Each 30-minute film features stories that carry the universal values of courage, perseverance, and dignity. Films BYkids follows teens sharing their individual experiences dealing with issues such as displacement, antisemitism, disability, generational trauma, illiteracy, juvenile justice, war, climate change, and globalization, among others. The companion website features video-based resources for students and educators designed to engage students in meaningful conversations about critical issues and inspire them to investigate their own stories.
